11th June 2021 – (Hong Kong) According to Hong Kong Observatory, the area of low pressure over the central part of the South China Sea has intensified. A tropical cyclone is forming. The system will maintain a distance of about 500 kilometres or more from Hong Kong tonight to tomorrow morning. Locally, it will be windier tonight and tomorrow with occasional squally showers, and there will be swells.
The Observatory issued the Standby Signal, No. 1 at 4.15pm. Thunderstorm warning was issued at 3.25pm and will be valid till 5.30pm.
