24th November 2021 – (Hong Kong) Mainland experts on epidemic prevention and control concluded their four-day visit to Hong Kong yesterday afternoon. Chief Executive Carrie Lam said that the expert team has been visiting different places non-stop. Among them, the technical issues of converting the “health code” to the “Yuekang code” were discussed smoothly. She also announced that the second border reopening meeting will be held in Shenzhen tomorrow.

The Hong Kong side will be led by a delegation led by the Chief Secretary for Administration, John Lee. She described it as a very positive message and hoped to announce the details of orderly “quarantine-free border reopening” to the public as soon as possible. It is reported that tomorrow’s meeting will finalise the specific border reopening arrangements and the decision will be submitted to the central government for approval. According to sources, the two places are likely to resume limited quarantine-free border reopening on 10th December, with an initial daily quota of 1,000 people.
