HK actor Lee Lung-kei’s fiancée Chris Wang to appear at Shatin Magistrates’ Courts to face overstaying charges

19th February 2024 – (Hong Kong) 36-year-old Chris Wang, the fiancée of 73-year-old actor Lee Lung-kei, has found herself embroiled in a series of controversies. Her past has been exposed, revealing allegations of forged artwork and academic qualifications, as well as suspicions of infidelity with several individuals. However, despite these rumours, the relationship between Chris and Lee Lung-kei remains unaffected. On the 10th of this month, the couple appeared together at a New Year’s Eve countdown event hosted by TVB in Temple Street.

Yesterday (18th), news broke that Chris had been arrested as an overstaying resident. According to Hong Kong laws, individuals who exceed their authorised period of residency are typically subject to deportation, with penalties of up to two years’ imprisonment and a fine of HK$ 50,000 for offenders. Sources have confirmed that Chris will be formally charged, and a court hearing is scheduled for tomorrow (20th) at the Shatin Magistrates’ Courts.

During an interview, Chris had previously claimed to have come to Hong Kong through the Quality Migrant Admission Scheme, stating that the program requires a master’s degree or above. However, her academic qualifications were later called into question, prompting Lee Lung-kei to state that he had entrusted the matter to his lawyers for handling.
