30th May 2023 – (Hong Kong) A seven-seater car was involved in a hit-and-run accident in Kwong Yuen Estate in Sha Tin, Hong Kong, at around 8.30pm yesterday. Authorities received reports of a suspicious car and attempted to investigate, but the driver refused to cooperate and fled the scene. The car eventually crashed into a taxi and a MINI Cooper before continuing on its way. The car then attempted to force its way through a line of vehicles waiting at a red light, causing a chain reaction of collisions with a learner driver’s car, a Mercedes, and a Tesla.

The seven-seater car sustained significant damage, with its right front wheel detached and some of its doors dislodged. The driver fled the scene on foot. Two women were injured in the incident, including the driver of the Tesla and a passenger in the learner driver’s car. They suffered minor injuries to their arms and necks. Law enforcement officers arrived at the scene shortly after the incident and collected evidence, including fingerprints from the crashed vehicles. They also found a cigarette box and ticket stubs in the seven-seater car, and a small amount of suspected cocaine after a search.

The incident has been classified as reckless driving and drug possession, and authorities are searching for a male suspect in his 20s or 30s who was driving the seven-seater car at the time of the incident. The car owner has been called in to assist with the investigation.

Eyewitnesses reported a large number of law enforcement officers at the scene, with tensions running high. One driving instructor who was present at the scene reported that one officer had even pulled out a gun during the incident.
