25th March 2023 – (Hong Kong) The Hong Kong Observatory issued the Amber Rainstorm Warning Signal at 12.20 pm today, warning of heavy rain affecting multiple districts in the city. As a result, Tuen Mun Hospital has reported flooding in some areas of its emergency department, prompting the temporary transfer of patients to other hospitals.
According to a hospital spokesperson, the emergency department services have been affected and ambulances have been dispatched to transfer patients to Pok Oi Hospital, Yan Chai Hospital and Tin Shui Wai Hospital. The hospital has also initiated emergency cleaning procedures to address the water damage.
The heavy rain has resulted in multiple incidents of flooding across the city, causing disruption to transportation and business operations. Tuen Mun Hospital is one of the affected areas, with its emergency department experiencing water seepage and flooding.
The hospital spokesperson has reassured the public that patients will receive timely medical attention and urged those seeking medical attention to be patient during this challenging period.
