Health officials from Centre for Health Protection disinfect 5th floor of Cathay Pacific Cargo Terminal


2nd April 2019 – (Hong Kong) A logistics officer who was working at Cathay Pacific Cargo Terminal yesterday is currently being quarantined at Princess Margaret Hospital for treatment after he was tested positive for measles. He developed fever a few days ago before seeking medical treatment at the hospital.

In an effort to contain the spread the virus, Centre for Health Protection sent health officials in anti-contamination encapsulating suits to disinfect the 5th floor of the Cargo Terminal at noon today. They have also sealed off the operation department area to facilitate the process.

Another 26 year old staff contracted measles last week on the same floor. The total of measles cases in Hong Kong this year stands at 38 with 4 patients working for Cathay Pacific.
