Greater Bay Airlines to hire 35 pilots in total, test flight may start in September


11th June 2021 – (Hong Kong) The Greater Bay Airlines was founded by Hong Kong property tycoon Bill Wong, who invested US$258 million into the startup. It was reported that the Greater Bay Airlines has signed employment contracts with 10 pilots in the middle of this week. It is expected to sign contracts with about 20 pilots in the future, which means that a total of about 35 pilots will be hired. Test flight may start as early in September.

According to sources, the preparations for the Greater Bay Airlines are progressing well. The pilots should be sufficient to operate 3 passenger aircraft. Greater Bay Airlines applied to the Civil Aviation Department for an air operator licence application in July last year.
