Government expected to announce suspension of face-to-face classes today as COVID-19 epidemic and upper respiratory tract infections continue to worsen


20th November 2020 – (Hong Kong) The COVID-19 epidemic has picked up momentum in Hong Kong and upper respiratory tract infections have rapidly broken out in schools. According to sources, the government will announce that from next Monday (23rd), face-to-face classes will be suspended from primary one to three in Hong Kong.

The Secretary for Food and Health, Dr.Sophia Chan will hold a media conference at 12.30pm this afternoon (20th) at the government headquarters to talk about the latest situation of the COVID-19 epidemic. It is expected to announce the suspension of face-to-face classes.
