9th June 2023 – (Hong Kong) The iconic giant yellow Rubber Duck has returned to Hong Kong after a decade, with two 18-meter-tall ducks standing tall along the Victoria Harbour waterfront near the Convention and Exhibition Centre this morning. Before the launch ceremony, the ducks took a ‘warm-up bath’ in the Victoria Harbour waters to prepare for their official debut later today in the sea near the central lawn of Tamar Park. The organisers held a launch ceremony at 11am today on the platform in front of Tamar Park.

The two Rubber Ducks suddenly appeared yesterday evening near the Wan Chai waterfront and were inflated into shape. After spending their first night in Victoria Harbour, the organisers held a launch ceremony at the platform in front of Tamar Park and arranged for the Rubber Ducks to move to their new home. They were towed from their current location at the west side of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) towards the exhibition area in front of Tamar Park, where they will meet the public starting from tomorrow, 10th June.

The ceremony this morning attracted a large number of citizens to take photos.
