11th September 2026 – (Hong Kong) Hong Kong Park has introduced a striking Mid‑Autumn installation that transforms the urban oasis into a cinematic nightscape, centring on a giant illuminated moon reflected across the water and surrounded by hanging planets and shimmering star lights. The display blends whimsical details—such as playful moon‑rabbit figures—with the dramatic backdrop of Central’s landmarks, creating a photogenic scene that is drawing steady evening crowds.
Organisers say admission is free and the lights switch on each evening from about 6.00pm, inviting visitors to linger after dusk for the strongest visual effect. On misty or lightly rainy nights, the reflections deepen and the ambience takes on an otherworldly tone, heightening the sense of a space‑themed tableau.
Access is straightforward. From Admiralty Station Exit C1, visitors can ride the Pacific Place escalators and walk for around five minutes to reach Hong Kong Park. From Central Station Exit J2, a walk via Garden Road and the park’s footbridge takes roughly eight minutes. The installation is expected to remain a popular Mid‑Autumn draw through the season, offering a family‑friendly outing in the heart of the city.
