19th May 2020 – (Hong Kong) A series of anti-epidemic measures weree implemented by the government in response to the COVID-19 epidemic, including the “gathering ban of 8 people and above” and continued suspension of certain businesses including nightclubs, Party Rooms, public bathhouses and karaoke. The relevant ban will expire on Thursday (21st). Professor Sophia Chan, the secretary for Food and Health Bureau will announce the latest details at 3 pm today.
It is understood that the Hong Kong Government will extend the gathering ban for another 14 days until 4th June. As for the suspension of businesses including nightclubs and karaoke etc, the suspension will be extended for one week until the 28th of this month.
