Gaming revenue in Macau declines over 97%


1st July 2020 – (Macau) Macau’s gaming revenue continued to plummet. The Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau announced on Wednesday (1st), gaming gross revenue in June recorded 716 million patacas, a year-on-year decline of 97%. The figures have fallen for 9 consecutive months, and the monthly declines from February to May after the outbreak of the new coronary pneumonia epidemic have reached as high as 87.8%, 79.7%, 96.8%, and 93.2% respectively.

For the first six months of this year, gross gaming revenue was 33.72 billion patacas, which was also a significant year-on-year decline of 77.4%.
