“FriendsWithYou” installations at Hong Kong Space Museum and West Kowloon Art Park

27th September 2021 – (Hong Kong) Starting from 23rd September, “FriendsWithYou” smiley face on the Hong Kong Space Museum dome has become the latest Instagram checkpoints for Hongkongers.

This is a collaboration project between the Hong Kong Tourism Board and “FriendsWithYou”. In addition to the Smiling Space Museum, West Kowloon Art Park also has 12 large-scale inflatable installations. “FriendsWithYou” is an art project jointly made by international artists Samuel Borkson and Arturo Sandoval lll, hoping to bring more joy, goodwill and love to the world, and achieve emotional healing through artistic creation. The 12 large-scale inflatable installations installed in West Kowloon Art Park are exactly the characters of the new series “Happy World” of “FriendsWithYou”.

This group of characters will also appear in 6 scenic spots in Hong Kong via AR (Augmented Reality). On the Avenue of Stars in Tsim Sha Tsui, scan the QR Code at specified location with your mobile phone, and the character will show up to introduce the relevant scenic spot. Visitors can also interact with the character to take selfies through AR.
