Four ex-employees of Apple Daily to be charged for violating the National Security Law tomorrow

21st June 2021 – (Hong Kong) Yeung Ching Kee, the chief columnist fo Apple Daily was brought back to the police station at night, together with former editor in chief Lam ManChung,  Associate publisher Chan Puiman and another columnist Fung Wai-kwong.

Four of them will be charged for violating the National Security Law, and they will appear in West Kowloon Magistrates’ Courts tomorrow morning (22nd).

The police said that 51-year-old Lam was involved in the crime of conspiring to collude with foreign countries or foreign forces to endanger national security. He was arrested by the National Security Office of the police today (21st) and police accused him of being involved in a similar case that was detected in June this year. He was detained at Cheung Sha Wan Police Station.
