17th September 2023 – (Hong Kong) In an incident that occurred around noon today, a cargo ship located near the Kwai Chung Container Terminal No.9 caught fire while crew members were cooking, resulting in injuries to two individuals. Upon receiving the emergency call, the fire department promptly responded to the scene, where the fire had already been extinguished. The two injured crew members were immediately transported to the hospital by ambulance for treatment. One of them sustained more severe injuries and was seen wearing burn masks and cling film over their entire body. Upon arrival at the hospital, agonising groans could be heard. The cause of the incident is currently under investigation.
