19th August 2022 – (Hong Kong) A FEHD male employee was charged with one count of criminal intimidation for allegedly threatening his colleague in the office on 29th November 2021. He threatened his colleague with damage to his property at the car park of Food and Environmental Hygiene Department Nam Cheong Offices and Vehicle Depot on the 1st floor, 87 Yen Chow Street West, Tai Kok Tsui, Kowloon. he case appeared in the West Kowloon Magistrates’ Courts today (19th). At the request of the defence, the magistrate adjourned the case to 30th September for further mention, pending the defence’s request for documents and legal advice. The defendant was granted bail of HK$2,000 and is not allowed to contact the prosecution witnesses during this period.
However, the magistrate considered that the defendant is still working there, so the defendant is allowed to return to the crime scene. The 39-year-old defendant, Lai Kwan-ching is affiliated with the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department. He was charged with 1 count of criminal intimidation, alleging that on November 29, 2021, he threatened Wu Weiwen with damage to his property at the Nan Cheong Office of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department and the car park on the 1st floor, 87 Yen Chow Street West, Tai Kok Tsui, Kowloon, Intended to startle him.
