The incident took place around midnight when a male rider, accompanied by another male passenger, was travelling along Tai Tong Shan Road towards Tai Tong Barbecue Area. It is suspected that the rider lost control of the motorcycle near a shelter along the road, crashing into an iron railing and causing both men to be thrown off the bike and onto the road. A passing motorist promptly alerted the authorities.

Upon receiving the report, paramedics swiftly arrived at the scene. The driver, identified as Mr. Ng (33 years old), sustained critical injuries all over his body and remained unconscious. He was immediately rushed to Pok Oi Hospital for urgent medical treatment but, tragically, was pronounced dead at around 1am. The passenger, also surnamed Ng (25 years old), suffered injuries to his limbs but remained conscious. He was transported to Tuen Mun Hospital for further care. The motorcycle involved in the accident suffered significant damage to its front, causing oil to spill onto the road. Additionally, the collision dislodged a section of the iron railing and left behind a helmet, a sneaker, and fragments of motorcycle parts. Police officers are currently investigating the sequence of events leading to the accident and its underlying cause.
