10th June 2024 – (Hong Kong) At around 11am today, a heated argument erupted between two siblings residing in Tsui Yung House, situated within Tsui Ping (North) Estate at 19 Tsui Ping Road.

According to reports, the altercation erupted due to domestic issues. The brother, aged 60, and his 45-year-old sister, both surnamed Yung, found themselves entangled in a fierce confrontation. Emotions ran high, and in a fit of rage, the sister resorted to biting her brother, inflicting a painful injury. In response, the brother retrieved a knife, menacingly brandishing it, and struck his sister forcefully with the blunt end, further exacerbating the chaotic situation.

Amidst the turmoil, their elderly father, a 93-year-old man, rushed to the scene in an attempt to defuse the escalating violence. Sadly, in the midst of his courageous intervention, he too sustained injuries, injuring his foot in the process. The situation reached its tipping point when the sister, realising the severity of the situation, decided to contact the authorities and report the incident.

Following the incident, both siblings were promptly apprehended by police. The brother now faces allegations of assault and criminal intimidation, while his sister is accused of assaulting her sibling, resulting in bodily harm. The case has been handed over to the Criminal Investigation Team of the Kwun Tong Police District, for further investigation.
