21st September 2026 – (Hong Kong) Facebook experienced a global disruption on Sunday evening in the United States, with the impact extending worldwide, including Hong Kong. From around 9.00pm ET on 20th September, outage trackers recorded more than 12,000 user submissions citing failures to load the platform, with many reports noting the site stalled on the Facebook logo or displayed a blank white screen.
A smaller proportion of users — about 12 per cent — reported difficulties logging in via the app.
