14th October 2024 – (Hong Kong) At 10.02am local time, authorities responded to reports of an explosion at a data centre located at 8 Wong Chuk Yeung Street in Fo Tan. The aftermath of the explosion resulted in a male employee sustaining injuries to his arm, necessitating immediate medical attention. Paramedics tended to the injured arm, wrapping it in protective film, before transporting the individual to Prince of Wales Hospital.
The incident has been classified as an industrial accident.
