Explosion at a Turkish rocket factory leaves five workers dead


10th June 2023 – (Ankara) Tragedy struck on Saturday when an explosion ripped through the Mechanical Chemical Industry Company’s rocket and explosive factory in Türkiye’s Ankara province. The blast claimed the lives of at least five workers, according to the Turkish Defence Ministry.

In response to the incident, the ministry launched an investigation to determine the cause of the explosion. Preliminary findings suggest that a chemical reaction may have triggered the deadly blast, as indicated by Ankara Governor Vasip Sahin in a statement to the media.
