23rd June 2022 – (Macao) In response to the COVID-19 epidemic, Macao government announced today (23rd) that dine-in services will be banned from 5pm onwards. Meanwhile, cinemas, barber shops/hair salons and bars will be closed.
The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre stated that the second round of universal nucleic acid testing is currently being conducted from 9am this morning (23rd) to 12pm tomorrow (24th), targeting Macao residents. A total of 53 testing stations are in operation and there are 32 general testing stations, 14 self-pay testing stations and 7 community care testing stations. After completing the tests, residents will be given 2 boxes of rapid antigen tests. In addition, during first round of universal testing which was completed on Tuesday (21st), total confirmed cases have increased to 110 as of 9am this morning.
