2nd April 2023 – (Hong Kong) At 2.24am today, during a routine patrol at Sunway Gardens on King’s Road in Quarry Bay, a security guard discovered an 82-year-old woman hanging from a cloth strip in the stairwell of the building. The guard immediately took down the cloth and sought help.
The paramedics arrived at the scene but, unfortunately, the woman was declared dead on the spot after an examination. The police have not found any suicide notes, and the cause of her death is still unknown.
According to initial investigations, the deceased, identified as Choi, lived alone on the ninth floor of the building.
