Elderly man falls into the sea at Sai Kung Public Pier, unconscious and rushed to hospital for treatment, certified dead later


14th April 2024 – (Hong Kong) An incident unfolded early this morning at 7.17am at Sai Kung Public Pier, where an elderly man fell into the sea. The incident was promptly reported by a passerby, leading to the swift response of rescue personnel. The man was successfully rescued from the water; however, he had already fallen into a state of unconsciousness. An ambulance was immediately dispatched to the scene and transported the unconscious victim to the Tseung Kwan O Hospital for urgent medical attention. He was later certified dead.

Concerned family members of the victim hurried to the hospital to gather information about the incident and the condition of the victim.
