Eiffel Tower to display Olympic rings for Paris Games


9th April 2024 – (Paris) The president of the Eiffel Tower’s operating company (SETE), Jean-Francois Martins, has announced that the iconic monument will showcase the Olympic rings for the Paris Games. The installation of the rings on the tower will commence at the end of the month, following the departure of the Olympic torch from ancient Olympia in Greece. The rings will be positioned on the Seine side of the tower.

The Eiffel Tower will play a central role in the Paris Olympics, serving as the 38km mark for the marathon and hosting the beach volleyball event at its base. In addition, the Olympic flame will be situated at the Jardin des Tuileries, near the renowned Louvre museum.

The Paris Games are scheduled to take place from 26th July to 11th August, captivating audiences worldwide with thrilling athletic competitions and showcasing the city’s rich cultural heritage.
