21st August 2021 – (Hong Kong) A dump truck set was on fire while driving along Shing Mun Tunnel Road towards Sha Tin at noon today. When it was approaching to Mei Lam Estate, flames suddenly burst out of the left side of the vehicle.
The driver (57 years old) immediately stopped his vehicle and got off to try to put out the fire, but the fire continued to spread.
Firefighters rushed to the rescue and put out the flames about half an hour later.
No one was injured in the fire. The cause of the fire is still pending further investigation.
