Drunk Pakistani man falls into sea from Tsing Yi South Bridge

11th August 2022 – (Hong Kong) At about midnight today (11th), the police received a report that a man was suspected of drowning in the sea off Tsing Yi South Bridge. The marine police and fire boats were deployed to the scene, and the man was found struggling in the sea with a rope near the shore. The marine police rescued him immediately. The victim suffered a fractured hand and was transported back to the Tsing Yi fireboat pier by the marine police boat before being sent to hospital for treatment. It is understood that the Pakistani national holds a Hong Kong identity card and is suspected of being drunk before falling into the sea.
