30th May 2023 – (Hong Kong) At 4.59am today, a drunk man entered a Bigfoot Centre at 38, Yiu Wa Street in Causeway Bay and got into an altercation with the security guard. The guard called for assistance, and when police officers arrived on the scene, the drunk man attacked them with his hands and phone. He also threatened the security guard with verbal abuse.
The man, surnamed Ng and 35 years old, was subdued and arrested on charges of assaulting a police officer, common assault, and criminal intimidation. He has been granted bail and is required to report to the police in early July. The security guard suffered from headaches and facial pain, while one of the police officers had facial swelling. Both were taken to the hospital for treatment.
