Driver’s refusal of breath test in Central leads to hospital examination following police stop

25th May 2024 – (Hong Kong) At 3am today, police officers patrolling Queen’s Road Central, Central District, encountered a private vehicle carrying three men and women swerving erratically. Suspecting the driver’s intoxication, they intercepted the vehicle for investigation. The personnel detected a strong odour of alcohol emanating from the driver and attempted to conduct a breathalyser test, which the driver vehemently refused, insisting on summoning a lawyer for assistance. After a heated exchange, the driver complained of feeling unwell and was subsequently transported to the hospital for examination.
