28th March 2023 – (Hong Kong) The Government announced today that Dr Samuel Chui Ho-kwong, Deputy Director of Environmental Protection, will take up the post of Director of Environmental Protection on 29th March, 2023.
The Secretary for the Civil Service, Mrs Ingrid Yeung, said, “Dr Chui has achieved a meritorious performance with solid professional knowledge and leadership skills. I am confident that he will be able to lead the Environmental Protection Department to meet the challenges ahead and continue to deliver quality service to the community.”
Dr Chui joined the Government as an Environmental Protection Officer in March 1993. He was promoted to Assistant Director of Environmental Protection in June 2018, and to Deputy Director of Environmental Protection in May 2021.
