25th March 2023 – (Hong Kong) Dr. Bonnie Siu will be appointed as Hospital Chief Executive of Castle Peak Hospital (CPH) and Siu Lam Hospital with effect from 1st June, succeeding Dr Lam Ming upon his retirement.
Dr Siu is a specialist in psychiatry by background. Being a seasoned psychiatric clinician, she is currently the Chief of Service of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Department of Forensic Psychiatry and Department of Old Age Psychiatry of CPH. She has rich experience in both hospital operations and management. She is also experienced in collaborating with external organisations on service development and enhancement. Dr Siu has been particularly devoted to the service enhancement of the Department of Forensic Psychiatry of CPH, which provides territory-wide forensic psychiatric services for Hong Kong, in collaboration with the Correctional Services Department, Department of Health, Immigration Department and law-enforcing agencies. Through the Institute of Mental Health of CPH, Dr Siu is dedicated to the development of public educational programmes on mental health. She played a vital role in the establishment of “Mind Space”, the first Mental Health Experience Museum in Hong Kong for the promotion of community mental well-being.
