18th March 2025 – (Panama City) A delegation from the Communist Party of China (CPC), led by Ma Hui, vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, conducted an official visit to Panama from Friday to Saturday.
During the trip, Ma held discussions with leaders of Panama’s major political parties and engaged in exchanges with scholars from the country’s leading think tanks. The conversations focused on fostering stronger bilateral ties and enhancing mutual understanding.
Ma emphasised China’s commitment to strengthening communication with Panamanian political parties and intellectual communities, with the aim of building trust, deepening cooperation, and bolstering public support for the enduring friendship between the two nations. Panamanian officials echoed this sentiment, expressing enthusiasm for closer collaboration. They highlighted their willingness to broaden friendly exchanges, align on cooperative efforts, and ensure the long-term sustainability of the partnership between Panama and China.
