7th December 2023 – (Hong Kong) A mother’s report of a missing phone for her 14-year-old daughter has indirectly revealed suspicions of illegal sexual intercourse with multiple men. The case involves six men, including a teacher, firefighter, and land officer, who are now facing charges of illegal sexual intercourse and illegal anal intercourse. The case was reviewed today (7th) at the West Kowloon Magistrates’ Courts. The prosecution has applied for a postponement of the case until 1st February, while some defence lawyers have objected, claiming that an indefinite postponement would be unfair to the defendants. The judge ultimately approved the postponement but reminded the prosecution to expedite the process of seeking legal advice. During the postponement period, five of the defendants were granted bail under their existing conditions, while the remaining 40-year-old teacher applied for bail today, ultimately being granted bail of HK$100,000.

Each of the six defendants is charged with one count of illegal sexual intercourse with the same 14-year-old girl, referred to as X, between 3rd May and 2nd June, 2023. The incidents allegedly took place at Hotel COZi ‧ Oasis in Tsuen Wan, Hotel Ease ‧ Tsuen Wan in Tsuen Wan, Fuk Loi Estate in Tsuen Wan, and Silka Tsuen Wan Hotel.

Three of the defendants are also facing other charges, but further details were not provided. The case will continue to be heard on 1st February.
