Country music legend Larry Gatlin gets Covid days after receiving second vaccine dose

    14th March 2021 – (Nashville) Four days after receiving his second dose of the Moderna vaccine, county music legend Larry Gatlin has tested positive for COVID-19, according to his publicist.

    “I made it 361 days without getting Covid-19,” Gatlin said. “Then, I finally get it four days after getting my second dose of Moderna. What are the odds?”

    A spokesperson for The Gatlin Brothers member said he received the vaccine on March 4. On March 8, he was diagnosed with coronavirus. However, his symptoms are reportedly minor: a cough and fatigue.

    “To you who have been terribly sick or have lost friends or loved ones, my heartfelt prayers go out to you,” Gatlin said. “I have a lot of character flaws and defects you can pray about if you want to. Instead, please join me in praying for our friends and neighbors who have suffered and are still suffering, and for our country.”

    Gatlin is a country and Southern gospel singer- songwriter. As part of a trio with his younger brothers Steve and Rudy, he achieved considerable success within the country music genre, performing on 33 top-40 singles.

    In 1976, The Gatlin Brothers won a Grammy for their hit “Broken Lady.”
