Construction worker falls 5 metres down to basement at construction site in Ngau Tau Kok

1st December 2021 – (Hong Kong) At about 2pm this afternoon (1st), a man accidentally stumbled and fell to a basement about 5 metres below while working on a construction site on Yan Yip Street near Wai Yip Street. He suffered head injuries and was unconscious. Other workers saw this and called the police. The firefighter rushed to the scene, rescued the male victim, and was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance. The victim regained consciousness after being administered with first aid. The cause of the accident is pending further investigation by the police.
