Complete guide to Hong Kong Dragon Boat Races in June 2019

The annual Dragon Boat Races are back this weekend and these are some of places where you can see 200 local and international teams participating in the action-packed races. Dragon boat racing is a popular sport in Hong Kong which has around 30,000 active participants. Another international dragon boat race will be held at Victoria Harbourfront in mid-June.

Location: Tai O waterfront.

Aberdeen Dragon Boat Races

Date & Time : June 7, 2019, from 8:00 a.m. to approx. 6:00 p.m.

Location : Aberdeen Promenade/Aberdeen West Typhoon Shelter. 

Cheung Chau Dragon Boat Festival

Date & Time : June 7, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to approx. 4:00 p.m.

Saikung Dragon Boat Festival

Date & Time : June 7, 2019, from 8:00 a.m. to approx. 1:30 p.m.

Location : Saikung Waterfront

Sha Tin Dragon Boat Races

Date & Time : June 7, 2019, from 8:00 a.m. to approx. 1:00 p.m.

Location : Shing Mun River, (Starts at Banyan Bridge and ends at Sha Yin Bridge)

Tai Po Dragon Boat Races

Tap Mun Dragon Boat Competition

Date & Time : 2019 – 7th June 2019, Tap Mun. From 8am onwards

In addition to the Dragon Boat Festival this weekend, another 3-day Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Races will take place at Victoria Harbour from 14th June to 16th June 2019.
