Compassionate bystanders shield injured 10-year-old girl with umbrellas following traffic accident in Sai Wan Ho


20th May 2024 – (Hong Kong) A traffic incident occurred in Sai Wan Ho, Hong Kong, resulting in injuries to a 10-year-old girl. The accident took place at approximately 8pm along Shing On Street near the Fu On Building. According to eyewitness reports, a minibus, navigating the slippery conditions caused by the rain, struck the young pedestrian as she was crossing the street.

The girl sustained injuries to her legs and experienced discomfort in her head, though she remained conscious throughout the ordeal. Emergency services were promptly at the scene, where firefighters and paramedics attended to the girl. She was subsequently transported to the Eastern District Hospital for further medical treatment.
