CNN apologises to Hong Kong police for wrongly accusing them of using petrol bombs against protesters

30th August 2019 – (Hong Kong) CNN has apologized to Hong Kong police for publishing a misleading headline that read “Police Use Petrol Bombs and Water Cannons Against Hong Kong Protesters” during the illegal assembly on Sunday in Tsuen Wan.

Hong Kong police have clarified that water cannons were shot at barricades and not protesters. The molotov cocktails were hurled by protesters.
