CityU student who attended an event at College of Engineering preliminarily tests positive for COVID-19


24th January 2022 – (Hong Kong) City University (CityU) announced it was informed yesterday (23rd) that a student preliminarily tested positive for COVID-19. He attended an event at the College of Engineering on 11th January as a staff member. According to the information on the CityU website, the participants included CityU President Way Kuo, Vice President (Development and External Relations) , Professor Matthew Kuok, Chair Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering and Director (APEC) Professor Henry Chung.

CityU said that all those who attended the relevant activity on that day wore masks throughout the process. The university will follow up with the guidance of the Centre for Health Protection to disinfect and clean the affected areas. Relevant departments have notified those who attended the event on the day of the relevant matters, reminding them to take the test.
