Chinese tourist shares spooky Wan Chai 4-star hotel experience on social media

28th March 2023 – (Hong Kong) A tourist from Mainland China recently shared her spooky experience at a 4-star hotel in Wan Chai on social media platform Xiaohongshu. The woman, who had visited Hong Kong with her family last week, revealed that the hotel was surrounded by “densely-packed graves,” which made her uneasy.

Despite her misgivings, the woman and her family checked into the hotel, where strange things began happening. The woman and her friend had booked two rooms, one with a view and one without. Unfortunately, the woman was assigned to the room without a view, which had windows with frosted glass that could not be opened.

It turned out that the reason for the lack of view was that the room faced a nearby cemetery. The hotel’s lobby and corridors were also dimly lit, with numerous mirrors placed in different corners, including a large one in the room. On the night of their arrival, the woman and her husband were walking back to their room from their friend’s room when something terrifying happened.

The woman’s husband suddenly caught up with her, looking pale and terrified. He explained that someone had tapped his left ear twice and said “Da da,” but when he turned around, no one was there. The woman’s husband was so scared that he broke out in goosebumps, and he said that it was the first time in his life that he had experienced something like this.

When the couple returned to their room, they turned on the television to dispel the silence. However, the TV suddenly turned off by itself and then turned back on again. Later, the wardrobe light turned on by itself, which was especially eerie given that the wardrobe could only be opened by pulling it out.

The woman’s supernatural experience at the hotel has caused a stir online, with many expressing their horror at the thought of staying in a room facing a cemetery. While some people were skeptical about the authenticity of her story, others shared their own stories of ghostly encounters at hotels.
