26th March 2023 – (Beijing) Chinese State Councillor and Foreign Minister Qin Gang met with a U.S. delegation consisting of representatives from friendly groups and the business circle in Beijing on Saturday. The meeting was aimed at developing a healthy, stable, and constructive China-U.S. relationship.
Qin extended a warm welcome to the delegation and reiterated China’s unchanged attitude towards developing healthy and stable China-U.S. relations. He emphasized that the two countries should respect each other, coexist peacefully, and cooperate for win-win results.
In his statement, Qin emphasised that sound bilateral relations require efforts from both sides. He urged the U.S. to abandon its zero-sum mentality and stop containing and suppressing China through unfair means. Instead, he encouraged the U.S. to work with China to bring bilateral relations back to the track of healthy and stable development.
Qin further stated that U.S. businesses are welcome to expand their investments in China. China will continue to improve the business environment for foreign companies. The statement signifies China’s openness to foreign investment and willingness to work towards mutual benefits.
The U.S. delegation expressed their support for the sound development and stability of the relations. They also expressed their commitment to preventing the two countries from falling into a vicious circle of isolation or conflicts. The delegation deeply felt the vigor and vitality of China’s economic and social development and the Chinese people’s expectations for developing bilateral relations.
