30th October 2022 – (Liaoning) A Chinese woman from a village in Liaoning in China named Zhang Tiegang surprised netizens by doing a cover version of A$AP Ferg’s ‘Plain Jane’. She also did other covers from ‘About Damn Time’ to ‘Dance Monkey’.
Her video went viral in the Mainland after posting a 18-second video of her rapping along to American rapper A$AP Ferg’s 2017 song ‘Plain Jane’. The video has attracted over 3.3 million views on Douyin.
Many were impressed with her singing skills as she could rap fluently in English despite being a farmer in a rural village in the Mainland.
