26th July 2025 – (Phnom Penh) Following reports of shelling by Thai military forces near Cambodia’s Pursat Province border region, the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia issued a renewed advisory on Saturday, 26th July, urging Chinese nationals in the area to closely monitor the local security situation.
The embassy particularly called on Chinese citizens near the Thai-Cambodian conflict zones to remain vigilant, enhance safety precautions, and avoid unnecessary travel to the border areas. Individuals and organisations already in the affected regions were advised to evacuate or relocate to safer locations as soon as possible.
In the event of an emergency, citizens are encouraged to promptly report the situation to local authorities and seek assistance from the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia.
