8th June 2023 – (Beijing) China Southern Airlines inaugurated a new direct flight service connecting London and Beijing on Wednesday, providing passengers with a convenient and efficient way to travel between the two cities.

The newly opened route operates one flight daily, departing from Heathrow Airport at 10.30pm local time and landing at the Beijing Daxing International Airport after approximately 10 hours of flying. Passengers can enjoy the comfort and amenities of the Airbus A350 aircraft during the flight, which is operated by China Southern Airlines.

Upon arrival at the Daxing airport, passengers can connect with flights to various cities in China, such as Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Xiamen, Chongqing, and Changsha, as well as international destinations like Tokyo, Osaka, Tashkent, and more. This will provide passengers with a seamless travel experience, allowing them to reach their final destinations with ease.

“We have never landed at the Daxing airport because it was built only a few years ago, and we are looking forward to the experience there,” said a passenger surnamed Niu while waiting for check-in. The Daxing airport is a modern and spacious airport, which was opened in 2019 to accommodate the growing demand for air travel in Beijing.

The new air service is expected to transport more than 600 passengers each day between the two cities, according to the airline. This will help to promote connections and cooperation between Britain and China, as well as facilitate exchanges between the people of the two countries.

Chen Ke, general manager of China Southern Airlines’ London office, said that the launch of this air route will bring new vitality to the airline’s network and enhance the airline’s position in the international aviation market. He also expressed his hope that the new air route will promote cultural exchanges and tourism between the two countries.
