This four-weekend event, starting from 8th December, 2023, and spanning a total of 11 days, aims to provide a platform for young individuals to showcase their creations and eco-friendly Christmas gifts. From 8th to 10th, 16th to 17th, 23rd, to 26th, 30th and 31st December, the Sino Mall China Hong Kong City will host the “CHKC Christmas Car Boot Market” at Dolphin Square. Car owners can register online as sellers without any participation fees. Upon successful registration, they can drive their cars directly into the venue, showcasing their vehicles and transforming them into mobile stores, especially during the evening market with the addition of Christmas lights.
Participants are encouraged to sell creative, cultural, and handmade products, along with preloved items such as clothing, furniture, houseware, toys, and vintage treasures, to promote waste reduction. The market will also feature food stalls and game booths to enrich the experience and bring liveliness to the event.
In an exciting collaboration, China Hong Kong City has partnered with a green group to transform 200 waste tires and 100 soft drink and red wine cases into low-carbon eco Christmas trees, archways, and decorative installations for the market. These installations will be adorned with colourful ornaments, providing photo opportunities for both sellers and shoppers. Visitors should not miss the outdoor snow show, dance performances, and mini concerts held on designated dates.
