3rd October 2026 – (Hefei) A video posted online on 28th September showed a flight attendant kneeling in the aisle after a China Eastern Airlines drinks trolley reportedly brushed a male passenger’s elbow on a flight from Hefei to Dalian, prompting the man to lose his temper and demand an apology. Witness accounts claimed he shouted that the metal trolley had caused serious harm and insisted the attendant kneel and “let me kick once,” before cabin managers and a security officer stepped in to calm the situation. The passenger ultimately asked to be accompanied for a medical check, according to posts describing the incident.
China Eastern said on 30th September that the attendant had apologised immediately after accidentally touching the elbow of a sleeping passenger during beverage service, but the passenger became abusive and threatened violence. The airline said order was restored by the cabin manager and security staff, medics later found no external injuries after landing, and the man declined ground staff assistance before leaving on his own. The carrier added it has provided psychological support to the affected employee.
Public flight data indicate China Eastern operates flight MU6741 on the Hefei–Dalian route, including on 28th September, aligning with details shared on social media about the timing of the incident and the late‑evening arrival into Dalian.
