Undeterred, Wang showcased his mastery by clinching the next two sets with scores of 11-5 and 12-10, securing a crucial victory for China.
Fan Zhendong, the top-ranked player in the world, further solidified China’s lead with a dominant performance against An Jae-hyun of South Korea. Fan’s exceptional skills were on full display as he triumphed with a flawless 3-0 victory, winning sets 11-6, 12-10, and 11-3.
