17th January 2023 – (Hong Kong) Cathay Pacific announced yesterday night that due to the Japanese government’s restrictions on the number of flights from Hong Kong to Japan for each airline, Cathay Pacific will cancel some flights between Hong Kong and Japan from 3rd to 16th February this year. According to Cathay Pacific’s website, the flight involved a total of 50 flights between Hong Kong and Tokyo Narita International Airport, Osaka Kansai International Airport, Chubu International Airport in Nagoya and Fukuoka Airport.

Cathay Pacific stated that it has begun to rebook other flights for all affected customers.
Customers will receive an email with their new flight details. They can also be viewed in Manage Booking. Customers are requested to ensure they have provided Cathay Pacific with their most up-to-date contact details.
