Cargo at Chek Lap Kok airport apron catches fire


11th April 2021 – (Hong Kong) At around 5am this morning (11th), a cargo fire broke out in a parking lot in the Chek Lap Kok airport apron. The firefighters arrived at the scene to fight the blaze. About 40 minutes later, the fire was put out. No one was injured in the incident. The cargo that caught fire was burned. The involved cargo includes a batch of smartphones. The cause of the fire is yet to be investigated.
