28th May 2023 – (Hong Kong) A couple returning to their private car parked opposite the Leighton Hill Community Hall on Wong Nai Chung Road met with a car accident this morning at 9.19 am. The male driver suspected he had shifted into the wrong gear and the car reversed, hitting a taxi from behind and mounting the pavement before finally crashing into a tree. The accident left the driver’s wife injured with a neck injury, and she had to be taken to the hospital by an ambulance.
Three passengers in the taxi also reported discomfort, but they did not need to be hospitalised. An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the accident.
